연구실 소개

 


(1) AMS실험 : 16개국 56개 대학 및 연구소가 공동으로 참여하여 국제우주정거장(ISS)에 검출기 AMS-02를 설치하여 암흑물질 및 반물질 탐색, 우주선 스 펙트럼 측정 등을 목표로 수행하고 있다.


(2) CMS 실험 : 유럽 CERN의 대형강입자충돌가속기(LHC)에서 14 TeV의 양성자-양성자충돌실험에서 36개국 160개의 대학 및 연구소가 참여하는 CMS실험그룹에 참여하여 힉스를 포함한 새로운 입자 탐색 및 표준모형 정밀 측정을 목표로 수행하고 있다.


(3) 핵자료측정 실험 : 포항에 설치된 100-MeV급 전자가속기를 이용하여 중성자를 생성하는 설비를 구축하여 중성자 반응 단면적 측정 및 국내 양성자가속기 설비에서 양성자 반응 단면적을 측정하는 실험을 수행하고 있다. 일본, 중국, 인도, 러시아, 베트남, 벵글라데시 등과 공동연구 수행.


(4) ILCR&D : 국제선형가속기 실험과 관련한 검출기 및 편극전자총과 관련하여 일본과 공동으로 연구 개발에 참여하고 있다.
